About the work:

The visible world is but a small fraction of the one we live in. The border or hinge between the world as we perceive it and world as it is--the invisible visible–frames the area of inquiry from which my work springs.

Connections, logical and illogical, apparent and hidden, exist in the gaps that lead from one idea to the next. Through a complex, forking maze of ideas, my work progresses with haphazard diligence through a realm that addresses: the architecture of animal burrows, 19th century barber poles, radio antennae, picket fences, conflicted borders, flags of refusal, the paranoia of the insider, shooting range targets,"No Trespassing" signs, empty billboards, fields (all kinds), folly, mineral extraction, interference, noise, attention, and the periphery.
